This year, we are proud to announce our support to a noble cause: the “Pietro Gamba Onlus” foundation.
The following message from the foundation is what we received in response to the donation we very happily did:
“Dear Roberta,
i am writing this email on behalf of “Pietro Gamba Onlus” Foundation, to which i proudly belong.
First of all, I wish to thank you for the donation that Athena Meat Trading offered to support our cause. As a return we are pleased to print your logo on the t-shirt that we will be wearing on 2nd April 2023 during the Milan Relay Marathon in order to offer you a little visibility that you fully deserve: we are planning to participate with around 120 athletes in the event attended by around 10.000 people!
Our Foundation takes care of supporting the actions of Doctor Pietro Gamba, a physician from Bergamo who founded in 1986 the surgical-medical centre “Fundacion Pietro Gamba” in Anzaldo (Bolivia), in the middle of the Andes, one of the poorest regions in the country, in which I was honored to volunteer.
Right now the hospital disposes of 12 beds, 3 clinics, 1 pharmacy, an ER, a radiology, a room for ultrasound and endoscopic, one delivery room, an analysis laboratory, 2 operating rooms equipped for anesthesia monitoring and surgery safety.
With his activity Doctor Gamba has been committing for over 30 years in providing health care to “campesinos”, very poor Bolivian farmers, who cannot even afford the cheapest medical care.
Running such a center requires commitment and money: for this reason we will take part in the Charity Program of Milan Marathon planned on 2nd April 2023. We will run in support of the medical center for campesinos proudly wearing the t-shirt carrying the logo of our Foundation!
